This piece was commissioned for a Chicago-based client as a wedding present for one of his best friends from college. The bride and groom met at the University of Michigan so I used the beloved "M" as a sort of frame to feature prominent and important Ann Arbor spots from the couple's—and the friend and client's—relationship during their college years. The bride's nick name is "Shoes," and the groom was in the Navy. So the Navy eagle and the sneakers are also featured. I thought this was SUCH a cool wedding gift idea!
